Unplug the power cable from your Mac. For 10 seconds, press and hold at the same time the shift control option keys (on the left side of the built-in keyboard) and the power button. After 10 seconds let go of all keys and the power button. Plug in the power cable. Turn your Mac back on with the power button.
MacBook Air 2015 turns off randomly. My macbook air (13-inch, Early 2015 120GB) randomly shuts down when it has 30% battery or less. Once it turns off, when I try to turn it on, it shows the icon that it needs charging. Sometimes after a few minutes it turns on by itself. You'll see the model (e.g., MacBook Pro 2017) near the top of the window. As long as your model is on this list, you'll be able to update to Monterey: MacBook Pro: Early 2015 and later. MacBook Air: Early 2015 and later. MacBook: Early 2016 and later. iMac Pro: 2017 and later. iMac: Late 2015 and later.
Hi Apple community, I've done some reading here and elsewhere to help troubleshoot my battery life, but no luck. Apologies if this is a common question, but I need to ask in case I've missed something obvious. I bought my 2020 MacBook Air (i5, 512gb SSD) a week ago, and I'm losing about 20-25% battery life per hour for general web browsing.
However, the current 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display (13-inch, Retina, Late 2013) with its dual-core 2.6GHz Core i5 processor scored 6719 points in the same test. The 2014 11in MacBook Air
Check the "Cycle Count", "Condition" and "Maximum Capacity". 11-inch early 2015 MacBook Air batteries have a "life" of one thousand (1000) charge cycles. If you have exceeded 1000 cycles, maybe consider replacing your battery.
